Review: Counter-Strike 1.6 or Counter-Strike:GO

Counter-Strike 1.6 is a legend and the most popular game till now. Whether it be on LAN tournaments, online clan matches and tourneys, and pub servers you will always find a craze among people for CS. A large number of CS eSport tourneys are arranged and mass number of people participate and spectate it. Online also, people are crazy about there online matches and CS have thousands of clans online and offline.

CS:GO, no doubt will be popular shooting game and is a game of thrilling chases between CT and T. It is a platform where skills and reflexes makes you successful and if you enough skills CS:GO will be a stage for you. When a noob dies in this game, he aspires to do better in the next round with much more concentration and so others do.

With better graphics, detailed environment and changes in game model make CS:GO a good high-end graphic game which maybe like by many. However there is nothing much new in this game other then 1 new game mode and one from equipment which can be used only in pub server.

You will only have to spend $15 to buy this game which is really very cheap. If you are playing CS:GO for the first time, let me explain you what exactly you will have to do. There are two team, Counter-Terrorists and Terrorists. Terrorists team will have to plant the bomb in the bombsite and CT will have to diffuse the bomb within the time if they do so, they will win and if they are not able to diffuse the bomb then Terrorist wins. Also, if the CT team dies before T, T wins and vice-verse.

Recoil

Gun recoil has been changed and that’s the reason most of the CS 1.6 players might be finding difficulty with the recoil. Unlike 1.6, you cannot spray when the enemy is in long range or mid range you can’t! But when the enemy is near you you can spray 5-10 bullets and kill him. Recoil of guns has been increased and players might need a more accurate aim to kill opponent. AK47 and M4A1 are the most popular guns of CS followed up by AWP and Deagle. I found that AK47 firing speed has been reduced and it has more chances of misfire if you spray for the 3-4 bullets at a time. M4A1 has no silencer and little recoil change in it also.

With Deagle and AWP you can’t hit sick shots like you use to do in CS 1.6 but when I was playing in pub, I managed to kill 2-3 enemies without scoping. Deagle might be really good whereas all SMGs except P90, are really really bad. You just keep shooting and the enemy won’t simply die.

New Weapons

Tec-9 (Pistol), MAG-7 and Sawed-Off (Shotgun), MP7 and PP-Bizon (SMGs), Negev (Machine) are the new weapons in CS:GO. Zeus x27 is also a new weapon added to the game and has the potential to kill enemy in a single hit when he is near to you.

HitBoxes

Hitboxes in CS:GO are smaller which means a near miss, is a miss. In 1.6, the hitboxes surrounding the character are generous and in CSS, the models are smaller so they are hard to hit. So, CS:GO requires a pin-point accuracy to kill an enemy.

Valve believes in gaming by mass and that’s the success of CS 1.6. CS is not just a game but it is more than that, its a legend. The developer of CS 1.6 has launched CS:GO which can give a tuff competition to CS 1.6 mass following. Taking more about the eSport, DreamHack has announced a $45k CS:GO tourney and, soon many tourneys will be shifted to GO from 1.6. So we can soon face the similar craze among people for CS:GO also.
